L.I.F.T. 2025: A Record-Breaking Conference for Louisiana Firefighters

The 2025 Louisiana Instructor and Firefighters Training (L.I.F.T.) Conference proved to be a monumental success, bringing together over 400 firefighters from 8 different states for a week of comprehensive education, networking, and entertainment. Held from February 10-13, 2025, at the luxurious L'Auberge Casino and Hotel in Baton Rouge, this year’s event set the bar high, continuing to be the premier destination for firefighter training in the region.

L.I.F.T. 2025 offered an expansive range of training sessions, each designed to equip our first responders with the skills and knowledge needed to perform at their very best. From advanced techniques in Trench Rescue to specialized medical courses, participants had the chance to dive deep into critical topics that are essential in today's fire service.

One of the key highlights was the Emergency Dispatcher class, which gave attendees a deeper understanding of the pivotal role dispatchers play in emergency situations. Of course, no conference would be complete without the fan-favorite Engine Co. operations session, where attendees honed their skills in tackling fire suppression challenges.

This year’s event also fostered invaluable networking opportunities for attendees. With 39 vendors showcasing the latest fire safety products and services at 46 tables, L.I.F.T. provided a platform for both veterans and newcomers in the firefighting world to connect and exchange ideas.

It was a time for attendees to relax, have fun, and strengthen the bonds that make this community so special.

Meals throughout the conference were provided by BRQ, the Official Restaurant of Louisiana Firefighters Foundation, ensuring that everyone was well-fed and ready for the next round of training and networking.
